今季初のシマアジ、ハジロクロハラアジサシ、ヨーロッパトウネン、ハリオシギほか

今季最初の石垣島へ飛来したカモはシマアジでした。海岸のセイタカシギやコサギの群れの中にいました。

ヨーロッパトウネンは 前回の幼鳥 に続いて2羽目。トウネンやヒバリシギと群れを形成していました。

ハジロクロハラアジサシは前回の成鳥に続き、幼鳥が到着。田んぼで元気よく餌を取っていました。

ハリオシギ、チュウジシギ、タシギのジシギ3種は滞在中。全種楽しめるのは今だけですね。

田んぼのスズメの群れに色彩変異を起こして派手な茶褐色になった幼鳥が2羽いました。 6月上旬には同所で同じような色彩変異を起こした成鳥 を見ているのでその子孫かもしれませんね。

台風の置き土産でアジサシ5種の大群(動画あり)

石垣島にほとんど被害を及ぼさなかった台風14号が明けると田んぼにはアジサシ、コアジサシ、ハシブトアジサシ、クロハラアジサシ、ハジロクロハラアジサシの5種合わせて80羽が休んでいました。

ほかの田んぼでもクロハラアジサシ50羽の群れが確認されたほか、おとなりの西表島でも50羽ほどが飛来したそうです。

今回は台風の悪天候で石垣島に寄りましたが、天気がよければ島に立ち寄らずに多くのアジサシ類が渡っていくのでしょう。

ふさっとしたリュウキュウヨシゴイ

今年生まれのリュウキュウヨシゴイは独り立ちして元気に暮らしています。若い個体は、警戒心もゆるく観察しやすいですね。

ウチナーチュウジシギとタシギ

きょうはハリオシギには会えず。そのかわり、チュウジシギともハリオシギともつかない「ウチナーチュウジシギ」がいたので尾羽が撮れるまで粘ってみました。粘ったといっても10分ほどで見せてくれましたが…。協力的でありがたいですね。^^

タシギも数を増やしつつあります。

台風後のシギ、チドリ

石垣島をかすりもしなかった台風14号の通過後、少しだけ海岸と田んぼの巡回。今季初確認のオバシギが2羽のほかはほぼいつものメンバーでした。

友人から、ホウロクシギとダイシャクシギがいると連絡をもらいましたが、回る時間はなし!! やはり飛翔力の秀でた大型シギは台風が当たらないと石垣島にはなかなか降りないですね。
