今季のチュウジシギやタシギなどジシギが渡ってきました。
チュウジシギとタシギが半々でした。
昨年の秋以来のジシギの識別練習になり、半年ほど期間が空いてるのであまり自信がない。^^;
In the field it looked like a Swinhoe's Snipe, but looking at the photos, it's a Common Snipe.

今年の沖縄は、渡り鳥がめちゃくちゃ少ないです。^^; 渡りが遅れているわけではなく、鳥自体が少ない模様。今ごろ、渡り途中のシギやチドリの仲間で賑わう金武の田んぼもさみしい限りです。
そんな中、ウズラシギ4羽の群れとムナグロの20羽ほどの群れが二つとダイゼンが数羽飛来してきていました。アマサギは30羽ほどで、夏羽に変わった個体が増えていました。
名護の田んぼでは、シロハラクイナをよく目にしました。また、鳴き声もあちこちから聞こえてきて、シロハラクイナも繁殖シーズンを迎えていることをうかがわせます。

Many individuals in the flock of Eastern Cattle Egrets had also changed into breeding plumage.
サシバなど猛禽類がいなくなった畑では、ミフウズラを見る機会が増えてきました。きょうも南部の畑で数羽に会うことができました。
農道を横切るミフウズラがいたので逃げ込んだ草むらを見ているとミフウズラのメスが現れました。車内から見るぶんには全くこちらを気にする様子もなく餌をついばんでいました。
前後に揺れながら歩く姿は、カメレオンのようです。^^

The Barred Buttonquail was fairly close, but watching from inside the car, it kept coming nearer and nearer.
The intricate pattern is beautiful.
今年は渡りのスタートが遅いようで鳥が少ない日々を送っていますが、やっとウズラシギが現れました。シギ、チドリの渡りは、この後が続くといいのですが…。
南部の畑には、 3月末に見て 以来、少しずつ増えてきたようで、あちこちにツバメチドリが入ってきました。喜屋武と米須合わせて7羽ほど確認できました。
カモは、三角池にはコガモのメスが3羽とハシビロガモのオスが1羽、米須海岸には、ヒドリガモがオスとメス合わせて数羽でした。
シギとチドリの仲間は、アオアシシギとセイタカシギが三角池でそれぞれ20と50。米須海岸では、ヒバリシギが十数羽、アオアシシギ数羽、ムナグロ数十羽、コチドリ、シロチドリ 、メダイチドリが少しずついました。
シロチドリは、すでに抱卵に入っているペアもいました。

沖縄市にある沖縄こどもの国の園内の池に毎年、キンクロハジロが数十羽やってきます。 今シーズンも昨年11月には数羽の群れを確認 し、年末には数十羽まで確認できました。そして、3月ごろには繁殖地へ旅立っていなくなってしまうのです。
こどもの国へ家族サービスで出かけると、1羽だけキンクロハジロが残っていました。羽ばたくシーンを見ると右の翼を骨折しているようでした。これでは飛べないので、仲間達が渡って行ってしまう中、1羽取り残されたのでしょう。渡れなかったキンクロハジロは、池にすむバンや飼育されているコクチョウに混ざって来場者のまく餌を食って元気にやっていました。
本来は、群れる動物なので心細いだろうなー。
4月9日追記
沖縄野鳥の会に連絡したところ、けがの状態などを確認の上、捕まえて保護するか施設と協議していただけるようです。

The right wing appears to be broken and it cannot fly. I suppose it will spend the rest of its life on this pond.
