This individual got as far as laying eggs, but in the end they never hatched and the breeding attempt this season failed.
I had been watching from the burrow-digging stage, so we have become familiar with each other — she doesn't flush even at three metres.
She will likely disappear before long, so this is probably the last chance to see the Ruddy Kingfishers on Ishigaki Island for the season.
マミジロツメナガセキレイは少しずつ増えていますが、(キマユ)ツメナガセキレイはまだ到着しません。キセキレイも数を増やしつつあります。
ムラサキサギの幼鳥も独り立ちした個体が増えて出会う機会が多くなりました。

A few winter feathers are showing, but this Marsh Sandpiper is still mostly in juvenile plumage.
あちこちの田んぼにトウネンが入っているのですが、成鳥ばかりでまだ幼鳥は姿を現しません。
ほとんど冬羽に変わった個体から、まだ夏羽後期といっていいぐらいの個体まで換羽状態はさまざまです。
