ハジロクロハラアジサシ、クロハラアジサシ、コアジサシ、ハシブトアジサシ、ユリカモメ
ここ数日の石垣島のアジサシ類の様子。台風2号が過ぎ去った後にクロハラアジサシとハジロクロハラアジサシの群れが飛来しました。クロハラアジサシ二十数羽の中にハジロクロハラアジサシが3羽まじっていました。
南ぬ浜町ではコアジサシが抱卵していましたが、PAC3の展開に伴い、30台以上の車両がやってきてだめになってしまいました。繁殖期初期なのでどこか別の場所で繁殖してくれるといいのですが…。人間の活動で影響を受ける生き物がいることは常に意識したいですね。
ハシブトアジサシは何日か前から滞在中。まったく警戒心のない個体で、子どもたちが水遊びでさわいでいてもお構いなしで餌取りしていました。
季節外れのユリカモメは単独で飛来。台風で流されてきたのでしょうか?
写真には撮れませんでしたが、エリグロアジサシも数羽を目視。石垣島での繁殖のため、これから数を増やしていくと思われます。ベニアジサシはまだ確認できず。
A White-winged Tern was flying over the rice paddies in strong winds left by the tail of a typhoon, catching dragonflies.

Same individual as above. My daughter was thrilled to have a White-winged Tern flying around so close to us. ^^
A different White-winged Tern. Almost fully in non-breeding plumage, though a little breeding plumage is still showing.

The Little Tern nest was most likely crushed by vehicles deployed for the PAC-3 installation. Kentish Plovers and others had also been present, but all flew off somewhere.
