Common Snipe. I'm not sure of the situation in Aichi, but could this be a wintering bird?
A flock of around ten. Also wintering birds, perhaps?
Two Common Snipes in a dry area.
Wood Sandpiper, with a Common Snipe upper right.
Japanese Wagtail, male. All the individuals were distant, but it's always a treat since you almost never get to see one in Okinawa.
There was a small flock of several Buff-bellied Pipits.
A Grey-headed Lapwing incubating. A female, perhaps?
I often came across Grey-headed Lapwings in pairs. It looks like the early stages of breeding.
I could hear Eurasian Skylarks singing clearly, but they were hard to spot.
There were plenty of Dusky Thrushes too. Not as many Naumann's Thrushes as you'd see in Okinawa though… ^^;
Great Crested Grebe in breeding plumage.
This one is a Great Crested Grebe in winter plumage.
