久しぶりに行ってきました。^^　ぼちぼち飛びました。

近くでは、サクラランが咲いていました。

There are more than around this time last year.

2週間以上いっていませんでしたので、久しぶりにホタルを見てきました。数は減りつつあります。

The yellow dots are Yaeyama fireflies; the green streaks are Yellow-striped fireflies.

いつもと違う場所で。ぼちぼち飛びましたが、ピークはまだまだです。

The few green streaks in the upper left are Kiirosujibotaru (Aquilonia pallida).

昨日は大雨にやられて撮影どころじゃなかったので再チャレンジ。

I went with an ultra-wide angle, but the sense of space hasn't really come through… ^^;

気温が上がってきて、キイロスジボタルも飛び始めました。^^

The green non-flashing lights are Kiirosujibotaru (Aquilonia pallida).

夕方まで雨が降り、気温も25℃あったので、ヤエヤマボタルの大発生が期待できるので行ってきました。

The Yaeyama Firefly put on its biggest emergence of the season. ^^ The glowing periods were quite long too.

It was a muggy night, and on the way back a huge Japanese Giant Centipede — body length of around 20 cm — also appeared. ^^;

近所の子どもたちと行ってきました。^^

Closer to the entrance than usual. Hmm, the terrain isn't great here. ^^;

星空も入れたかったのですが、あいにくの曇天でした。^^;

月のでも遅くなり、4月いっぱいはホタル撮影には最適ですよ。

The numbers were reasonable tonight, but the flight paths were good. ^^

明るい月がじゃまでした…。^^;

A reasonable number of fireflies were flying.

今夜は、無風でホタルもたくさん飛びました。^^ピーク時の70%ぐらいです。

It was quite a steep slope. After shooting, I was scared to climb back down... ^^;

途中でピントを触ってしまい失敗…。^^;

More flew than yesterday, but still not many.

初撮影に行ってきました。下見は、10日ほど前から行っているのですが、昨年よりかなり少ないです。

また、19:10ごろ今年初のリュウキュウアカショウビンの鳴き声が聞こえました!!

Hmm. Not many. ^^;

Things really get going once April arrives.

これを最後に、今年はヤエヤマボタルの撮影終わりー。昨年より、1週間おそい蛍狩りおさめ。^^

I wonder if there will be a big emergence again next year. ^^

今月いっぱいは飛んでくれるかなー。

この場所はピンポイントで大量に飛んでくれるので、3カット撮ってみた。^^

Lots of them flying. Fireflies in front of me and behind me. ^^

今日もたくさんのホタルが飛びました。

Tonight there were plenty of Yellow-striped Fireflies. The green streak-shaped light is from the Yellow-striped Fireflies.

Would love to see a green tornado again.

途中、雨も降り出しましたがホタルはよく飛びました。^^

Couldn't quite get the composition right tonight… Wish I could find a better angle.

近所の子供も連れて行きました。3年生以来のホタルだったそうです。

It felt good while I was shooting, but looking at the results they're not quite there. ^^;

いつも終わりがけに星が出てくる。^^;

晴天の夜が待ち遠しいなー。

Climbed even higher than last night for the Yaeyama fireflies.

今夜も沢山飛びました。ちなみに、ヤエヤマヒメボタルじゃなくてヤエヤマボタルです。^^;

高いところにキイロスジボタルもちらほら。

Tonight in a different spot from usual. This one was beautiful too.

蚊が多くて参りました…。^^;

I want to shoot it against the moss-covered rocks, but the rocks are too low… I'll give it another go tomorrow. ^^;
