まだ、抱卵に入っていないようです。求愛給餌はもうしないようでした。オスは呼ぶのですが、メスは全く反応なし。^^;

久々に、アカショウビン以外を撮ったなー。^^;

It was catching grasshoppers alongside crows.

昨日に引き続き今日も求愛給餌をしていました。^^

A female begging food from a male.

暗いなー。シャッタースピードがあがりません…。^^;

The male is the one on the left with the chipped lower mandible; the female is on the right. It looks like she was being given a cicada larva. This pair has already mated and dug a nest hole, yet it seems they still do courtship feeding. ^^

あちこちで営巣が始まっているようです。

I believe this is the individual I first photographed this year on 1 April.

5月に入ったのに気温が低く少し寒そうでした。

この2羽は初撮影です。^^

昼休みにおにぎりをコンビニで買っていってきました。1時間以内で2羽も撮れるなんて今年は多いのかなー。

見ただけで撮れてないアカショウビンはあと6羽います。^^;

目指せ20個体!!

昨日、掘ったと思われる巣。いい場所です。^^

My first photograph of this individual. The courtship feeding was happening deep in the undergrowth.

メスのリュウキュウキビタキが行ったり来たり。^^

It's a female. The male has such beautiful yellow colouring, but he just won't come out. ^^;

求愛給餌をせずに、いきなり交尾でした。^^;

巣も発見済みなので今年も営巣の撮影が出来るなー。^^

I thought a male Ruddy Kingfisher had shown up, but he came empty-handed….

今日は、アカショウビンが沢山見られました!!

見た数は8個体で、写真に撮れたのが7個体。^^ 1羽だけは縁がなくて撮れんかった…。

ペアでいるうちのメスは撮らせてくれます。オスはまったくだめ。^^;

It seemed to have arrived recently.

親子なのかなー。それぞれ、山の東側と西側にいる。

It was being mobbed by a Japanese Paradise Flycatcher. ^^;

まだ，求愛給餌には早いようだ。

飽きもせずにアカショウビン。^^

4月に入ってもヤツガシラがいました。

A passer-by came along and it moved up into the tree.

疲れているので、渡ってきたばかりと思われます。

半径30mぐらいを行ったり来たりで餌をとっていました。明日には疲れもとれることでしょう。^^

When I hide in a blind, they come quite close.

鳴き声は3月中旬から聞いていましたが、やっとまともに写真が撮れました。^^

人を恐れない個体でビデオも撮らせてくれました。

4月1日撮影は、今までで一番早いかも。

This season has finally arrived!!

そろそろ繁殖期に入るんですかね。

It kept coming closer and closer, going below the minimum focus distance… ^^;
