ホトトギス、アオバズク、コアジサシほか
ホトトギスが近距離で観察できました。成鳥と若い個体で、松林で採餌していました。周辺にはオニカッコウが6羽ぐらいいて、トケンが集中して多いエリアでした。
大雨などありましたが、リュウキュウアオバズクの抱卵は順調のようで、オスがしっかり見張りをしていました。年々、警戒心がなくなり、散歩の人が目の前を通っても気にする様子はありません。
- コアジサシは昨年に続き、クルーズ船用のターミナルビル建設予定地に30羽近く飛来。すでに抱卵している個体もいました。
- 昨年はPAC3配備で巣が全滅 <https://shimasoba.com/blog/2230/> して今いましたが、果たして今季はうまくいくのか…。シロチドリはふ化して間もないヒナから少し飛べるようになっているヒナまで数羽が走り回っていました。
シロハラクイナは子育て真っ最中でヒナを連れたペアによく遭遇します。繁殖期は長いので、しばらくは成長のステージがさまざまな家族連れにであると思います。
稲刈りが終わった田んぼではムラサキサギやアオサギ、チュウダイサギ、コサギなどが獲物を狙って集まっています。

A Grey Heron that caught a swamp eel. Swamp eels seem to be plentiful; Crested Serpent Eagles, Purple Herons, and Intermediate Egrets were also feeding on them.
