海岸でハシブトアジサシ、オオメダイチドリなど
ハシブトアジサシが飛来していました。 先日の幼鳥 に続き今季2羽目です。
海岸のチドリたちも数を減らしていますが、オオメダイチドリやメダイチドリ、ムナグロ、シロチドリなどがいます。シギはキョウジョシギとキアシシギ、チュウシャクシギなどが少々。数は少ないながらも楽しめます。
At first glance it looks like an adult, but this is a Lesser Crested Tern in first-winter plumage.

Lesser Sand Plovers were having a battle. Both are in winter plumage, but the individual in the foreground is the type without a white frontal bar, while the one in the background has a frontal bar.

Ruddy Turnstone, adult. Moulting into non-breeding plumage.
Pacific Golden Plover, adult. Moulting from breeding to non-breeding plumage.
