アオバズク2カ所で抱卵中
アオバズクの営巣6カ所のうち近場の2カ所を見て来ましたが、まだ、抱卵中のようでした。きょうの那覇の最高気温は33.2度と真夏の気温でした。樹洞の中は、もっと暑いのでしょうね。
公園のペアは、例年通りだと7月上旬の巣立ちです。もう片方のペアは、 昨年、大雨で卵がダメになってしまった ので、ことしこそは、可愛いヒナを見せてくれることを期待です。^^
A male Brown Hawk-Owl nesting close to a residential area. The tree hollow here is lower than head height, so you can see the incubating female inside.
When the rain cleared and I went to check on the Brown Hawk-Owls in the park, the bird was soaked to the skin. ^^; This pair has successfully raised chicks three years in a row.
