オオソリハシシギと中国江蘇省からやって来たメダイチドリ
数日前から、オオソリハシシギを海岸で見るようになりました。今日は、糸満市の海岸にオオソリハシシギ(オス2羽、メス2羽)が飛来していた。
満潮時に合わせて造成地に赴くと、メダイチドリ50羽余りの群れが休んでいた。中には、フラッグとメタルの足環を装着した個体も交ざっていた。 昨年末、同じ場所で撮影したメダイチドリ も今回見つけたメダイチドリと同じく緑と青のフラッグをつけていて、同じく中国の江蘇省で放されたメダイチドリ。同一個体かどうかは不明。
3月27日から滞在していたコクガン は、渡去したようで見つかりませんでした。

The Bar-tailed Godwits were feeding as they walked along the water's edge, recovering from the journey. They will continue north from here.
A flock of about 50 Lesser Sand Plovers was resting on a development site. Among them was a flagged individual, which I didn't notice in the field — I only spotted it while sorting through the photos. The flag was fitted in Jiangsu Province, China.
Lesser Sand Plovers showed a range of plumages, from nearly full breeding plumage to still in full winter plumage.
