シロチドリ抱卵開始
営巣に入っているシロチドリがいました。翌日も同じ場所に座っていたので抱卵は間違いないと思います。
昨年も同じ場所で何羽か巣立ちました。

春の渡り オジロトウネン、コアオアシシギ、ウズラシギほか
沖縄では、北上組のシギが入れ替わり中継地の海岸にやってきます。
オジロトウネン3、コアオアシシギ2、ウズラシギ6、アカアシシギ3、タカブシギ数羽など海岸は賑やかになってきた。
夏羽に変わった個体もいくつか見られた。越冬していたカモやオオバンの数はかなり減りました。

夏羽のハシブトアジサシとシマアジのオス
双眼鏡を覗いているとアジサシ系の鳥が横切りました。コアジサシよりは大きいし、エリグロアジサシにはまだ早いし、何だろうと観察していると飛び方がまさしくハシブトアジサシでした。 昨年の9月に石垣島で撮影したハシブトアジサシ は冬羽でしたが、今回は、すっかり夏羽になったハシブトアジサシが見られた。夏羽のハシブトアジサシは初見です。^^
ハシブトアジサシは、海岸を右へ左へカニを求めて飛び回っていましたが、最干潮時だったので遠いこと…。^^;
近くのタイドプールには、 先日から滞在中のシマアジ がまだいました。海岸のカモたちは北へ渡って行き随分数を減らしていますが、シマアジはいつまで滞在するのか。

It kept flying around in the distance and never came close….
