ソリハシセイタカシギ今季3個体目、今年4個体目ほか(動画あり)
今季3個体目となるソリハシセイタカシギが三角池にやってきました。途中、クロツラヘラサギの釣り糸被害未然防止のため、数名の環境省の職員がボディーボードに乗っての清掃に三角池に入り、鳥たちは全ていなくなりました。そんな中、ソリハシセイタカシギだけは逃げず。^^;
今季、 最初の個体は9月19日、田んぼで発見 。 2個体目は、9月29日に漫湖で発見 。上の嘴が途中で欠けている個体でした。
今年2月のソリハシセイタカシギ は3月上旬まで三角池で越冬しましたので、今年4羽目、今季3羽目のソリハシセイタカシギでした。この個体はいつまでいてくれるでしょうか。
全てのソリハシセイタカシギが第1回冬羽です。
具志干潟のオニアジサシも健在。クロツラヘラサギは6羽に増加して豊崎干潟で休んでいました。ヘラサギもクロツラヘラサギの群れに1羽混ざっていた。

This small, murky pond apparently holds plenty of food, and many wild birds come here to winter every year. The Pied Avocet was sweeping its bill from side to side, picking up small shellfish and aquatic insects.

The Black-winged Stilt was startled and took flight.
A Common Snipe circled overhead at speed, calling
Teal and Northern Shovelers were also circling.
After circling a few times, it came gliding back down.
