10月8日に飛来したカリガネ2羽とヒシクイ1羽の群れ にマガン12羽が合流して一気ににぎやかになりました。撮影を忘れましたが、ハシビロガモも数羽飛来していました。

サシバの渡りが始まっています。まだ序盤ですが、すでに渡りは本格化してきており、この日は、午後4時ごろには視界に入る空一面にサシバが飛んでいる状態となりました。

Good numbers of juvenile Grey-faced Buzzards were also recorded.
I was able to see kettles forming repeatedly. The sky was unfortunately overcast, but it offered a glimpse of the Grey-faced Buzzards' spectacular migration.

セジロタヒバリが飛来しました!! 草むらによく潜るのでタヒバリ属の中では一番撮影が難しい種です。鳴き声で気付き、飛んで降り立った先で待っていると一瞬だけ出てきてくれました。
先月からのソリハシセイタカシギはまだ滞在中。3週間以上、同じ田んぼにいます。
Managed to get a full-body shot of a Buff-bellied Pipit despite the obstructing grass. The primary projection beyond the coverts and the white stripes on the back are key features.

強い北風が吹く中、カリガネ2羽とヒシクイ1羽が飛来しました。石垣島でカリガネはかなり珍しいのですが、 昨年 に続き、2年連続の飛来です。
Two Lesser White-fronted Geese arrived together. They looked tired, perhaps having just come in from migration.

頸椎の手術後の検査で名古屋に行ったついでに鳥見。3年目でやっとヒメハマシギに会うことができました。ついでにキリアイやオバシギ、トウネンなども観察。
ヒメハマシギと合わせて、トモエガモ、セグロセキレイはライファーとあいなりました。
The Little Stint was at first sitting and resting in a hollow, but there was something about it that felt slightly off. ^^ Still, once it mixes into a flock of Red-necked Stints it gets difficult.

It gave me a stretch. Adult winter plumage — would that be right?

Likewise, a Red-necked Stint was on the same mudflat.

Adult male Japanese Wagtail. It was great to hear a call completely different from Eastern Yellow Wagtail, Grey Wagtail, and White Wagtail. ^^
