ハリオシギ2羽、タマシギ
昨年の春のハリオシギは5月29日が最後の確認 でしたが、今季はこれで終認となりそうです。
この春は、シギ、チドリの数がとても少なく、ハリオシギやチュウジシギ、タシギの出会いもほとんどありませんでした。8月中旬から渡りが始まる秋のジシギに期待です。
そして昨年に続き、今年の秋も8月下旬ごろに「第3回石垣島ジシギ合宿」を開催したいと思います。ふるってご参加ください。 第1回(秋) 、 第2回(春) の模様もご覧ください。
The rice had grown tall enough that I couldn't see the whole bird, but I found a Swinhoe's Snipe.
Same individual as above. There's a good chance this will be my last Swinhoe's Snipe of the season, so I stuck it out trying to get a shot of the tail feathers… ^^;

A female Greater Painted-snipe, encountered after a long absence. The male is probably incubating eggs at this time of year.
