ヤツガシラ、ズグロミゾゴイ、アマツバメ、ムネアカタヒバリほか(動画あり)
ヤツガシラの第2波もそろそろ終わりに近づいているようです。今季の石垣島にはヤツガシラ40〜50羽は飛来しています。ヤツガシラを探していると婚姻色が深まったズグロミゾゴイ複数羽に出会えました。
ムネアカタヒバリ、タヒバリは数の増減が激しく、群れがどんどん通過していっているようです。今季初のアマツバメやオジロトウネンも現れました。コチドリもすっかり夏羽になって通過していきます。ハジロコチドリの美しいオスの夏羽もいましたが撮り損ねました…。^^;l
ジシギはタシギばかりです。 肝心のハリオシギは、2月20日 、 チュウジシギも2月21日 に確認したきりで後が続きません。
A Eurasian Hoopoe looking tired, apparently just arrived on migration.
Slowly driving past the reliable Eurasian Hoopoe spots, I found one perched on a branch.
Hoopoes were thin on Ishigaki today, but numbers picked up again from the next day.

The moult progress among the Buff-bellied Pipits looked much the same across individuals.

The Little Ringed Plovers are fully in summer plumage now and looking lovely.
Common Snipe numbers are increasing as birds cycle through.
In February they came in a sizeable flock, but now they seem to be drifting in in ones and twos.
