Northern Boobook and Ruddy Kingfisher fledge
All three Ryukyu Northern Boobooks have fledged. The two Ryukyu Ruddy Kingfisher chicks whose fledging I confirmed the other day were seen again on this visit.

Only the male was keeping watch outside, so fledging still appears to be some time away.
Up in the hills, the Hoya flowers are increasing.
