8月も終わりに近づいてきましたが、自宅からは毎日、リュウキュウアカショウビンの鳴き声が聞こえています。親鳥以外にも今年生まれの幼鳥もまだ滞在しています。 2週間前に撮影した幼鳥 もずいぶんたくましくなっていました。
親鳥は11日前の8月15日を最後 に姿が見えませんが、鳴き声だけは聞こえてくる(かすれ声が特徴的で分かりやすい)のでまだいると思われます。

ツメナガセキレイはかなり数を増やしています。そんな中、今季初の幼鳥を確認しました。アオアシシギも今季初の幼鳥が飛来していました。
ツバメチドリもぱらぱらとやってきていますが、まだまだ数は少ないですね。

今季初のタシギを確認しました。これで石垣島のジシギ3種はそろい踏み。現在、ハリオシギがピークを迎えており、石垣島では、この後チュウジシギが優勢になり、最後はタシギだらけになります。
