We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
石垣島では珍しいヒレンジャクが飛来しました。シロガシラなどとともにオオバアコウの実を食っていました。ヒレンジャクを見ているとギンムクドリとマミチャジナイもやってきました。こちらは先月からの滞在組です。
The Bohemian Waxwing was targeting ripe, coloured berries.
It ate a few fruits of the Ryukyu fig, then rested.
The White-shouldered Starling arrived alone.
The Eyebrowed Thrush has been staying since last month.
11月29日に見つけたオオヨシゴイ はまだ滞在しています。草むらの中を移動するので見つけるのは至難の技。たまに見晴らしのいいところに出てくるので運良く遭遇できたらラッキーです。^^
今季はヨシゴイの越冬も以上なほど多く、すでに十数羽を確認。この日も愛想の良い個体は目の前で獲物のエビなどを捕っていました。
ジャワアカガシラサギはアカガシラサギとともに10月からの長逗留。夏羽が出る頃までいてくれることに期待。ジャワアカガシラサギを見ていたら遠くにチュウヒを確認しました。 昨年は複数個体 が長期滞在していましたが、ことしはどうなるのか?
