シマアジ14羽飛来
八重山の春の渡りのカモといえば、シマアジ。今日は、2カ所で合わせて14羽が確認できました。オスは生殖羽にすっかり変わり、それぞれがペアになっているようでした。
シマアジの中に、季節外れのハシビロガモが1羽混じっていた。
A Garganey in the rice paddy. It was very wary — when I first spotted it, only its head was poking out of the grass — but after waiting a while it showed its full body. ^^
The female in the foreground doesn't appear to have changed into breeding plumage yet.
