リュウキュウアオバズク巣立ち6日目
巣立ち後、6日目のリュウキュウアオバズク。3羽で仲良く並んでいました。アオバズクはすでに5巣で巣立ちが終わりました。例年より数日早いです。

同じ田んぼにブロンズトキとレンカク夏羽とクロハラアジサシが滞在中。この後、同じエリアにアカガシラサギも入りました。
A Glossy Ibis and a Pheasant-tailed Jacana are both staying in the same paddy field. You don't often see a scene like this.
A Glossy Ibis preening. It was a bit far away today.
A Pheasant-tailed Jacana, male in summer plumage. Another Pheasant-tailed Jacana is also lingering in the next paddy field over.
Whiskered Terns have been increasing in number. Flocks are flying around over paddies and pastures.

リュウキュウアカショウビン巣立ち(動画あり)
明日、巣立つと予想していたセンダンに巣穴を掘っていたアカショウビン は、すでに巣立っていました。おそらく昨日巣立っていると思われるので、予想より2日程度早かったです。
巣立ったヒナはやはり1羽だけのよう。1羽だけだったので生育が良かったのでしょうか。飛行もうまくなっていました。
野鳥ガイドのスポッターのお客さん2人もしっかり観察、撮影できました。^^
This Ruddy Kingfisher fledgling had left the nest about a day before.
It had become quite good at flying and was perching neatly on branches.
The red of the body is duller than the adults', but the blue of the rump is already vivid at this stage.
