リュウキュウアカショウビン、シベリアアオジなど
仕事の合間に石垣島のバードウオッチングポイントを回ってみるとリュウキュウアカショウビンやシベリアアオジ、クロツラヘラサギ、ムラサキサギ、ホウロクシギ、シマアカモズに会えました。
アカショウビンはすでにペアになっていて2羽で巣穴掘りをしていました。シマアカモズは6個体ほど確認しました。ムラサキサギも牧草地やサトウキビ畑で数個体確認できました。
シベリアアオジは草むらの中にいてなかなか出てきませんでした。磯辺川の河口にはクロツラヘラサギは5羽。先日までは4羽だったそうでいつの間にか1羽増えていました。クロツラヘラサギを見ているいとホウロクシギが横切っていきました。

A female Siberian Meadow Bunting. When it flew up, the white outer tail feathers were conspicuous.
An adult Purple Heron, bathed in evening light on a pasture.
Brown Shrikes were all over the island.
A Brown Shrike that had caught some kind of larva.
At the mouth of the nearby Isobegawa River, five Black-faced Spoonbills were resting.
There was also a Far Eastern Curlew.
White-breasted Waterhen, scarce on the Okinawa mainland, is plentiful on Ishigaki Island.
