やんばるでホントウアカヒゲ

17連勤が終わったので久しぶりにやんばるに行ってきました。

ホントウアカヒゲも繁殖は終わってオスのさえずりもあまり聞こえなくなりました。その代わり、地鳴きしながら巣立ちビナを連れていました。地鳴きして、ヒナを連れている今の時期の方が撮影はしやすいです。

サンコウチョウは数十メートルごとにおり、非常に濃い生息数。ノグチゲラは鳴き声だけ8個体、アカショウビンも5個体。撮影には至らず。

アオバズク3営巣順調

アオバズクの3営巣地を巡回してきました。二つはオスもメスも外にいたのでヒナは大きくなっていると思われます。一つは、オスのアタックが激しくてメスを探すことができませんでした。 カラスにはアタック するのを何度も見たことがありますが人間にこんなにアタックが激しい個体は初めて見ました。^^; このアオバズクはカラスにも相当激しくアタックしているようで、巣の近くにはカラスの羽が数枚落ちており、近くのカラスも懲りているのか全くアオバズクを攻撃しません。

どの営巣も1週間以内には巣立つと思います。親子揃った姿が見られるといいのですが。

The female took a while to find, but she was in a strange spot. No good angle for a photo, but she was in plain sight. So completely out in the open that it was actually hard to spot her. ^^;

Remains found below the roost of the pair above. A Pale Thrush, perhaps?
