アカショウビン、コアジサシ営巣
本島南部でのアカショウビンの営巣を見つけました。南部での営巣はほとんど聞きませんが、近くで見られれば嬉しい限り。ブラインドを張るスペースも十分。近くにはイソヒヨドリが2ペア巣作り中でした。先月末ぐらいから巣立ったイソヒヨドリのヒナも何度が見ていますが、今から巣作りするペアもあるのですね。
コアジサシは町中の空き地で営巣するようでした。セッカはまだ抱卵中でしたが卵の表面がつややかなので順調に育っているようです。

A Ruddy Kingfisher nesting in southern Okinawa Island, at a spot about 30 minutes from home by car. The hole looks to have been dug within the last few days.
Wood shavings had piled up on the leaves of a Giant Taro plant below the nest hole.
