リュウキュウコノハズク巣立ちラッシュ(動画あり)
コノハズクのヒナが2巣で巣立ちました。 ヒカゲヘゴの巣は7/4に巣立った ようです。私は、名古屋へ行っていて見ることができませんでした…。^^;
人工物で営巣していたコノハズク は7/5に巣立ったようで、親鳥はいつもと違う木で見張りをしていました。ツミが近くで抱卵しているのでじっくり探せず、ヒナは見つかりませんでした。
昼間に2声鳴くことはよくあるコノハズクですが、きょうは長いこと鳴いてくれて動画も撮れました。
It had moved to a spot about 20 metres from the gazebo where the Ryukyu Scops Owl had been nesting. Comparing close-up shots with earlier photos, there are several matching features — 99% certain it's the same individual.
The chicks should be nearby, but with Japanese Sparrowhawks nesting close by, a short search turned up nothing… ^^;
Ryukyu Scops Owls tend to be less wary of people than Grey Nightjar, but this male shows absolutely no fear of humans.
The adult male Ryukyu Scops Owl, four days after the chicks fledged. His throat is puffed up because he's calling. They should be nearby, but the female and chicks were nowhere to be found…
