コノハズクの新しい営巣木を見つけました。ヒナは2羽でまもなく巣立ちそうです。^^
24-70mmと70-200mmしか持っていかなかったので、遠かったー。^^;

リュウキュウコノハズクの営巣木判明
ここのコノハズクの営巣木は以前から謎でしたが、やっと本日判明しました。なんと、東屋の支柱のジョイント内に2羽のヒナが育っていました。あと5〜7日で巣立ちそうです。師匠にも観察力勝ちだねと褒められました。^^ しかし、こんな小さな隙間でもコノハズクは入れるのかって場所でした。
昨日に引き続きの営巣木の発見でした。^^
Everyone was puzzled about why this Ryukyu Scops Owl was perching somewhere so conspicuous. ^^

リュウキュウサンコウチョウの営巣順調
久しぶりにサンコウチョウの営巣を確認がてら撮影してきました。ヒナは4羽いるようです。あと3日ほどで巣立つでしょう。
The male Japanese Paradise Flycatcher here is relatively cooperative with chick-rearing, bringing food to the chicks at about the same frequency as the female. Normally the male's main job is keeping predators away while the female handles most of the food delivery.
The female Japanese Paradise Flycatcher tends to perch on branches deeper in the foliage, making her difficult to photograph.
The long tail feathers are hidden, but the green background is beautiful and this ended up being a surprisingly favourite shot. ^^
