天気が良いのでヤツガシラはどんどん目的地へ渡っているようです。

仕事中に1羽だけかろうじていました。^^;

Something seemed to be on the other side of the dead leaves, and it was raising its crest frequently.

島の東側に多いヤツガシラですが、今回は島の西側の崎枝半島に2羽いました。^^

今月、7羽目!!

今年はヤツガシラの渡りが早くて多いですねー。寒波の影響?

きょうは、5羽観察の4羽撮影できました。1日で見つけた数では過去最高です。1羽撮影を逃したのは、カラスに追われて遠くに飛び見失ったので…。^^;

昨日は、竹富島でもヤツガシラ見ましたがカメラ持ってなかったので撮れず…。^^;

道路を走っていたら、道端にヤツガシラを見つけました。今年もいい一年になりそうな予感です。^^

風もなく暑い日でしたが、ヤツガシラはまだいました。通常は1〜2日の滞在ですが、この個体は長くとどまる様子です。^^

The Eurasian Hoopoe seemed to be feeling the heat too, foraging in the shade as much as possible.

渡ってきて3日目。だいぶ落ち着いてきたようです。^^

Ishigaki Island is extremely hot. So hot that the Eurasian Hoopoe had its bill open.

昨日は警戒心が強過ぎて写真に収められませんでしたが、今日はなんとか。^^;

またまた、別のヤツガシラ。今年は多いです。隔年の周期で多いのかな?

ヤツガシラの季節がやってきました。3羽見たのですが、写真におさめられたのは2羽だけ。

公園でトラツグミも見たんだけど、数秒現れた後、薮に入って出てこなくなりました…。^^;

I was driving along when I spotted a Eurasian Hoopoe being relentlessly chased by a crow, so I followed them. ^^

4月に入ってもヤツガシラがいました。

A passer-by came along and it moved up into the tree.

春は、ヤツガシラに会わんとね。^^
