GUIDED BIRDWATCHING TOUR
We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
同じ公園に2ペアが営巣しています。3羽のヒナの内、2羽がヘビにやられましたが残った1羽は順調に育っています。 黒目のコノハズク も久しぶりに見える場所に出てきていました。こちらのペアは巣立ちしたのかもしれませんね。^^

Two of the chicks were taken by a snake, but the remaining one is growing steadily. It should fledge within two or three days.
1D X とモバイルルーターを使った無線LANで遠隔撮影を試してみましたが、肝心のアカショウビンが2回しかこなかったのでテスト不足。この時期サウナだけど、ブラインドに入って撮った方が楽しいのは間違いない。^^;
200mmでやる意味はあまり無かったとは思っています。やるなら広角で寄った写真ですね。
I can also control the focus remotely from my MacBook Air using EOS Utility 3, but the bird didn't come often enough for that to matter.
巣立ち予定日に台風が来たので、1日遅れの巣立ちとなりました。十分に成長しているのでよく飛ぶこと。^^;
午前11から午後5時30分までブラインドに入って末っ子の巣立ちまで見届けることが出来ました。^^

コノハズクの子育てはほとんどの地域で終わっていました。まだ、抱卵しているペアでいつも メスしか見つからなかった 相方のオスを初めて見つけることが出来ました。^^

Today's prey deliveries were mostly grasshoppers, cicadas, and bees. Earthworms just once.
Twelve feeding visits in two hours. The chick has a healthy appetite.
