クロツラヘラサギ到着
今季初のクロツラヘラサギとハマシギを確認しました。ジャワアカガシラサギは1週間ほどで姿が見えなくなりました。
最近は、忙しくて写真をあまり撮っていませんが、日々の観察はしっかりしています。島で、繁殖するアジサシ類やフクロウ類、アカショウビン、サンコウチョウなどは子育てがひと段落。カンムリワシやキンバトもそろそろ巣立ちビナが姿を表すころです。
7月中旬から始まった渡りもぼちぼち進んでいます。8月も半ばを過ぎたころから急激に進むと思います。
The first Black-faced Spoonbill of the season arrived. It was an easy bird to watch, showing no wariness at all.
The Javan Pond Heron appears to have moved on after staying about a week.
The first Dunlin of the season seemed to have an injured wing. Doesn't look like a fracture, so hopefully it heals.
A male Emerald Dove I run into near the house every day. Possibly in the middle of raising chicks — it was feeding intently.
