カンムリワシ保護から1年半を経ての放鳥
2024年9月に名蔵で救護されたカンムリワシが放鳥されました。右の翼と左足を骨折し、口腔からも出血が見られるなどかなりの重症でしたが、1年半におよぶ治療とリハビリを経て、やっと自然に帰ることができました。
識別用に右足には赤に「4」が刻印された足環が装着されています。カンムリワシ保護活動の貴重なデータとなるので、発見した際はお知らせください。

The Crested Serpent Eagle finally took flight. The right wing still seems to show some effects of the accident — it didn't extend as far forward as the left — but the bird appeared to fly without difficulty.
