第4回石垣島ジシギ合宿開催!!
第4回石垣島ジシギ合宿を今年も開催しました。今回は北海道から2人が参加。といっても前日の下見からジシギが少なく嫌な予感がしていました。蓋を開けると…やはり不調。ハリオシギ1個体、チュウジシギ数羽、タシギ数羽という過去最悪の結果に終わりました。
おまけでナンヨウショウビンやリュウキュウアカショウビン、カンムリワシそのほか留鳥や渡り鳥など50種類ほど見ることができ喜んでもらえましたのでよしとしましょう。こんな年もあります。

A Common Snipe on full alert….
With Collared Kingfishers it's a quick look, a quick shot, and done.
It was only a brief observation session, but they were feeding actively.
According to the two participants, Crested Kingfishers can be seen along rivers in urban areas of Hokkaido. Here, Collared Kingfishers can be seen at a river mouth in the middle of town. ^^
I also confirmed several Ruddy Kingfishers.
A few Oriental Pratincoles were looking like they were suffering from the heat.
A Marsh Sandpiper in breeding plumage. Beautiful.
The Common Greenshanks are mostly in breeding plumage as well.
