ヒメクイナ、コウノトリ、ソリハシセイタカシギ、クロツラヘラサギ、カンムリワシ幼鳥ほか

コウノトリを見ているとタカサゴクロサギが飛んだのが目に入ったので、着地点を探してみるとヒメクイナが出てきました。^^; 警戒心が強い個体で何かに驚くとすぐに草むらに入っていました。環境はいいので、長居してくれるかもしれません。

コウノトリは標識付きの個体でした。識別番号は「J0701」で今年の3月31日に福井県小浜市で生まれたようです。1週間前には鹿児島県の南さつま市でも観察されている個体でした。石垣島には数日、滞在し、西表島に渡って行きました。

ソリハシセイタカシギは2羽が滞在中。 11月6日に11羽の群れ でやってきた一部なのかは不明。

カンムリワシの幼鳥に出会う機会が増えました。この日は、以前から確認されている「No.7」と新規の個体を発見しました。水稲の2期作の刈り取り作業が始まり、カンムリワシの観察いやすい季節になってきました。今季のサトウキビの収穫は12月6日ごろからスタートする予定です。

今季初のオカヨシガモとタイワンハクセキレイを確認。

Same individual as above. What it caught was a small Teleogryllus emma cricket. Hard to imagine filling its stomach on that. I hope it makes it through the winter safely.
