ナンヨウショウビン滞在3週間
越冬すると決めたのでしょうか。ナンヨウショウビンは滞在3週間ほどとなりました。
誰もいない時間を見計らうかのように登場して、大きめのカニを仕留めるとそのまま呑み込もうと四苦八苦していました。自転車が通行するとカニをくわえたまま、どこかへ飛んでいきました。

It came back to the lookout with a large crab.
A Collared Kingfisher perched on a piece of driftwood sticking up from the ground — a favourite spot. Perhaps an adult still retaining much of its breeding plumage.
A Common Kingfisher, noticeably smaller, also showed up — hunting for prey from a discarded bicycle.
