増えてきたアカショウビン(動画あり)
リュウキュウアカショウビンが増えてきました。石垣島では10月まで見ることができます。
アカショウビンを探していると騒がしいイシガキシジュウカラと遭遇。餌をくわえているので遠くから見ていると樹洞へ入っていきました。子育て中のようです。2カ所で繁殖を確認できました。
田んぼには夏羽のアカガシラサギやアマサギがいてにぎやかになっています。

An Ishigaki Tit carrying a Меcopoda (short-winged katydid) to the nest. Given the size of the prey, the chicks are probably close to fledging.
A Chinese Pond Heron showing nice nuptial coloration.
A Cattle Egret that caught a centipede. Close to a hundred are staying over during their migration.
This type of individual is really nice.
