島内では、どこに行ってもリュウキュウアカショウビンに出会えます。今が、一番見やすい時季ですね。
飛んでいる姿はアカショウビンと見まごうのは、田んぼのリュウキュウヨシゴイ。繁殖期を前にしてますます美しくなっています。
