美しいタカサゴモズ滞在中(動画あり)
オレンジ色のタカサゴモズ。体も大きく、尾羽も長く、とても美しいモズです。警戒心も比較的弱く、餌取りなど観察できました。
同じエリアにはシマアカモズが3羽ほどいましたが、うっかりシマアカモズが近づくと体の大きなタカサゴモズの攻撃に撃沈していました。滞在3日目ですが、いつまで滞在するのか気になるところです。
先日のジャワアカガシラサギ は1羽だと思っていましたが、同じ場所に3羽いました。まだ滞在中です。良い環境には集まってくるのですね。^^ ほかにもカタグロトビ親子やカンムリワシ幼鳥、渡りの動きが活発になり出した小鳥など石垣島も楽しくなってきました。^^

Seen from the front, the black mask around the eyes of the Long-tailed Shrike looks just like Zorro. ^^
No matter how many times I see it, it's a fine bird. ^^
A Brown Shrike sharing the same area as the Long-tailed Shrike was constantly outmatched in territorial disputes due to the size difference.
