We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.

リュウキュウアカショウビン、カンムリワシ、ズグロミゾゴイ(動画あり)

アカショウビンは子育てもほぼ終わり、残るは2巣のみ。今季は10巣ほどを観察し、2巣はヘビ被害で全滅でしたが、それ以外は順調にいきました。

カンムリワシはまだ子育て中ですが、いくつかのペアが失敗している可能性があります。エサ不足でしょうか。それとは別にだれの仕業か分かりませんが、カンムリワシの営巣木そばに観察小屋が設置してあったとか…。^^;

ズグロミゾゴイは2巣が成功。合わせて5羽のヒナが巣立ちました。^^

オオメダイチドリ、メダイチドリ、ダイゼン、アカアシシギなど渡りとエリグロアジサシ子育て

海岸にオオメダイチドリの群れが入りました。これまでも少数がパラパラと通過していましたが、まとまった数が入ったのは今季初。オオメダイチドリの群れには3羽のメダイチドリも入っていました。

今季初となるダイゼン1羽も確認したほか、アカアシシギやヒバリシギ、アオアシシギ、キアシシギも順調に増えてきています。

エリグロアジサシのコロニーではヒナの孵化が始まりました。巣立ちまで台風が襲来しないことを祈ります。
