GUIDED BIRDWATCHING TOUR
We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
これまで今年生まれのカンムリワシの幼鳥は十数羽です。気になるのは交通事故が多いこと。多くのカンムリワシが輪禍で命を落としたり、野生に返せなくなっています。救護施設もスペースが逼迫状態となっています。石垣島や西表島を訪れるみなさんは安全運転でお願いします。

メジロガモ3羽、沖縄的珍鳥のスズガモ2羽が滞在中。ホシハジロは八重山では珍しく、沖縄本島ではそこそこ見られます。ヘラサギ1羽が島内を移動しつつ滞在中でユリカモメも1〜8羽が増えたり減ったりしながら逗留しています。
田んぼのシギは、タシギやアカアシシギ、アオアシシギ、クサシギ、タカブシギあたりが滞在中です。
忘れていた10月の保護個体のアカオネッタイチョウも2カ月遅れで掲出しておきます。^^;

The Northern Lapwings were all juveniles — around 12 birds.
Black-headed Gulls in the rice fields. Up to about eight birds, all in first-winter plumage.
A good number of Common Snipe are wintering.
Common Sandpiper, first-winter. Wintering singly here and there.
Common Redshank, adult winter plumage. Wintering in a small flock that includes both adults and juveniles.
Red-tailed Tropicbird, juvenile.
久しぶりにコホオアカを撮影。エンベリが少ない沖縄では確実に毎年、観察できるのですが、草にもぐりがちで撮影する機会は少ない…。
ツメナガセキレイは群れが島内を移動しながら越冬しています。その群れの中にハクセキレイやキセキレイ、タヒバリなどが入っています。
