We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
渡りのシーズンもすっかり終わり、特に田んぼには寂しい限り。この日の平田原はアオアシシギ1羽とウズラシギ2羽、セイタカシギ8羽、コチドリ2羽のみの確認で終了。
Pectoral Sandpiper. Still retaining some winter plumage.
Common Greenshank. Old juvenile feathers remain, so it is in the process of moulting into first-summer plumage.
Little Ringed Plover, male in summer plumage.
Black-winged Stilt, female in summer plumage.
あるアカショウビンを撮ってたら「なんだか見たことがあるぞ」となって自宅に帰って過去の写真を探してみたら、やはり似た個体を2013年に撮影していました。ただ、8年も前となるとはたして同じ個体なのかどうなのか疑問が湧きます。

When it turned the other way — well, a slight partial leucism. I had a feeling I'd seen it before, so I went home and dug through my old data.
This individual was photographed in 2013 in the same area as the Ruddy Kingfisher above. The position of the white feathers looks similar.

Same individual as above, but facing left it seems to resemble other past individuals as well…
That would be this individual photographed in 2013. This one is a male, but the look of the feathering on the hindneck is distinctive and similar.
