海のアジサシたちは子育ても終わり、そろそろ南下していく時期ですが、入れ替わるようにいわゆる沼アジサシのクロハラアジサシを見る機会が増えました。
A White-winged Tern that caught a small prey item in a rice paddy.
The body looks almost entirely in summer plumage, but a little winter plumage is beginning to show on the belly. The flight feathers have moulted, with the exception of the outermost one primary feather remaining.
Resting after flying around over the rice paddies — perhaps tired out.
今季初確認のチュウジシギを田んぼのあぜで発見。やっと見つけたって感じです。ほかのシギはいつもと同じ顔ぶれでしたので写真は省略。
エリマキシギとジャワアカガシラサギは情報をもらって見にいきましたが、見つからず。代わりにベニバトのメスを見つけましたが、写真は撮れずでした…。
