土砂降りのバードウオッチング
今日は、昼前から雨が本格的に降り出し、一時は道路が川のようになりました。
視界が悪く、バードウオッチングも賞味1時間ほどしかできないような天気でしたが、林道と公園を回り、カンムリワシやズグロミゾゴイ、リュウキュウアカショウビンなどを観察。鳥たちはみんなずぶ濡れになっていましたが、林道のカンムリワシは相当な濡れ鼠と化していました…。^^;
公園ではアカショウビンを6羽とズグロミゾゴイを確認。道路を横切るセマルハコガメやヘビなどにも遭遇しました。
A Crested Serpent Eagle soaked to the skin in the rain. Afterwards it caught a snake and vanished into the forest.
A male Ruddy Kingfisher. Also completely drenched.
I didn't see the female Ruddy Kingfisher, so she may have started incubating.
With the rain falling, the Ruddy Kingfisher was noticeably less wary than usual.
