We'll drive you around Ishigaki Island to wherever the birds are showing best that day. Observation is mostly from inside the vehicle, and we keep it to a maximum of 3 guests so everyone can take their time.
毎年、繁殖するポイントに今年もリュウキュウアカショウビンのペアが帰ってきました。3月26日に野鳥ガイドのスポッターさんが初めて確認。毎日、愛想よく出てきます。
3月から安定してアカショウビンが石垣島でみられるのは、あまりないことなので感謝です。^^
スポッターさんでは、新型コロナウイルスの影響でツアーのキャンセルが出ているそうなので、今なら野鳥ガイドの予約取れますよ。^^

While waiting in the car, a beautiful Ruddy Kingfisher landed on a branch right in front of me!!
自宅から徒歩数分の大浜海岸はいつも保育園に子どもを送る時に双眼鏡でチェックするだけですが、今日は満潮と重なっていたので、保育園の帰りに撮影。一時は、メダイチドリがメインの200羽の群れがいたりしたのですが、この日はメダイチドリが40、オオメダイチドリが5、トウネンが20、ムナグロが15、アオアシシギが10、キョウジョシギが10、キアシシギが5程度でした。
まだ冬羽の個体からほぼ夏羽に換羽した個体までいろいろいて楽しめました。^^

While the other sandpipers and plovers were sleeping, a flock of Ruddy Turnstones moved about actively, searching for prey.
A Ruddy Turnstone caught a small earthworm-like creature.
The Red-necked Stints show a rich variety, ranging from individuals in full winter plumage to those nearly in full summer plumage.
A white-morph Pacific Reef Heron was flying offshore.
