久しぶりのジャワアカガシラサギ
10カ月ぶりにジャワアカガシラサギを確認。石垣島では、見る機会が増えている気がするなー。沖縄本島で昨年の10月に見た冬羽のジャワアカガシラサギ に比べると褐色味が強くアカガシラサギっぽくもあり微妙ですが、おそらくジャワアカガシラサギだと思われます。
ジャワアカガシラサギは警戒心もなく、田んぼでコサギやセイタカシギ、タカブシギなどと餌をとっていた。

各所と検討の上、頸部の縦斑などから色のりのよいジャワアカガシラサギとします。
A Javan Pond Heron in winter plumage — subtle. The vertical streaking from the neck to the breast looks thinner than on Chinese Pond Heron.
It was catching small insects.
A Little Egret foraging nearby. Standing next to the Javan Pond Heron, it looks large.
Black-winged Stilt, first-winter.
Also first-winter. It appeared to be missing its left foot and was stumbling when trying to feed.
