金武と名護の田んぼでバードウオッチング
今年の沖縄は、渡り鳥がめちゃくちゃ少ないです。^^; 渡りが遅れているわけではなく、鳥自体が少ない模様。今ごろ、渡り途中のシギやチドリの仲間で賑わう金武の田んぼもさみしい限りです。
そんな中、ウズラシギ4羽の群れとムナグロの20羽ほどの群れが二つとダイゼンが数羽飛来してきていました。アマサギは30羽ほどで、夏羽に変わった個体が増えていました。
名護の田んぼでは、シロハラクイナをよく目にしました。また、鳴き声もあちこちから聞こえてきて、シロハラクイナも繁殖シーズンを迎えていることをうかがわせます。

Perhaps because it was the breeding season, the behaviour was bold — it appeared in open spots and came towards me.
Many individuals in the flock of Eastern Cattle Egrets had also changed into breeding plumage.
