台風後のアオバズクのヒナ
沖縄本島は、強い台風7号が直撃しました。アオバズクが気になったので近場の営巣を見に行くと、何事もなかったかのように巣の入り口に大きくなったヒナが佇んでいました。これは、今夜、巣立ちますね。^^
夜は、仕事の集まりがあり、巣立ちの観察はかないません。明日、巣立ったアオバズクを見に行こうと思います。
A Brown Hawk-Owl chick at the nest entrance. Last night there was a typhoon, but it seems as though nothing happened.
A male Brown Hawk-Owl. This is the first time I've seen it perched on this branch. Nobody visits the park after the typhoon, so it isn't startled by any walkers — this may be its usual lookout spot.
It showed its whole body during the day. It's grown to the point where it could fledge any time now.
