沖縄本島南部でオオチドリとツバメチドリ
沖縄本島南部の農耕地に今季初のオオチドリとツバメチドリを確認。午前中、師匠からメイルで情報をもらったのですが、現地についたのが日没寸前。しかも教えてもらっった場所から数百メートル移動しており、諦めかけましたが、なんとか見つけられました。
オオチドリもツバメチドリも渡ってきたばかりなのか疲れた様子で休んでいました。 一昨年もきょうと同じ3月30日にオオチドリを豊見城市で撮影 していました。その時は5羽で成鳥と幼鳥が混じっていました。
ツバメチドリは、かなり疲れた様子で羽を膨らましほとんど動きませんでした。沖縄にはこれから繁殖する群れもやってくることでしょう。

There were two Greater Sand Plovers.
The first Oriental Pratincole of the season. Numbers will keep building from here, with some individuals continuing north and others breeding on the Okinawa mainland.
The Oriental Pratincole had changed into its beautiful breeding plumage.
In a nearby park, a Whistling Green Pigeon was nest-building.
