ミサゴの狩り場
具志干潟はミサゴの良好な狩り場となっています。今日は、4羽のミサゴがドボンドボンと飛び込み、ボラやフエフキダイの仲間などを捕まえていた。狩りの上手な個体は、2匹のボラを一度の飛び込みで掴んでいました。
タイミングがちょうど良かったようで、30分の間にミサゴの狩りが終わり食事タイムに入ってしまいました。こうなるとミサゴは魚を食い終わるまで飛びません…。^^;
Possibly a species of emperor bream. It carried the fish into the shade of the mangroves to eat.
This one got a plump mullet. Holding it with one foot.

Continuing from the photo above. It seems it came up empty-handed.
This Osprey snatched two mullet in one go!! And holding them both with one foot!!
