大授搦、秋の渡りの序盤の序盤
福岡県の実家に子どもと帰省していた妻を迎えに行きがてら、佐賀県の有明海に面する東よか干潟に行ってきました。ラムサール条約湿地に登録されていて、鳥屋の間では大授搦と呼ばれており、シギやチドリの仲間の日本一の飛来数を誇る干潟です。
秋の渡りには少し早かったようで、ダイゼンとハマシギぐらいしかいませんでした。
干潟には、7月5日に九州を襲った大豪雨により海に流された流木が大量に漂着していた。17日には、この付近で女性の遺体が2体見つかったそうだ。冥福を祈る。
2泊3日の間、被害のひどかった朝倉市や日田市なども立ち寄った。重機などが入り復旧に向けて作業が進んでいた。大授搦にも重機が数台入り、漂着物の除去を行なっていた。

That day it was a spring tide, and the water rose quickly, eventually submerging the driftwood. The Grey Plovers were competing for spots right to the end.
