久しぶりのバードウオッチング
久しぶり(10日ぶり)にバードウオッチングをしてきました。
うるま市の田んぼには、サルハマシギやアカアシシギ、コアオアシシギなどシギの仲間がいろいろ入っていました。
宮城島や伊計島のサトウキビ畑では、軽く車を流しただけでミフウズラを8個体も観察できました。ミフウズラは、サシバがやってくると途端に見えなくなるので今のうち!!
A juvenile Curlew Sandpiper had come into the paddy field.
It was plunging its bill into the mud to feed, so that prized bill was caked in mud… ^^;
In the same paddy field as the Curlew Sandpiper, one adult Common Redshank. Mostly in winter plumage.

There were two Pin-tailed Snipe. The Pin-tailed Snipe on Okinawa Island are relaxed and don't flush like the snipe on Ishigaki.
