漫湖でソリハシセイタカシギほか
ソリハシセイタカシギが漫湖水鳥・湿地センターに1羽入っていました。干潮時は、かなり遠かったですが、潮が満ちてくると比較的近くで休憩していました。今季2羽目のソリハシセイタカシギです。
このソリハシシギ、上のくちばしが欠けているので 先日、うるま市で今季初確認したソリハシセイタカシギ とは別の個体のようです。
チュウシャクシギとアカアシシギが数十羽ずついました。漫湖に大量に生息しているヒメヤマトオサガニはシギたちの餌になっているようです。
休んでいるソリハシセイタカシギを見ていると目の前にカワセミが止まりました。久しぶりにカワセミの撮影ができました。^^

A Common Sandpiper crossing right in front of me.
Metaplax elegans, prey for the shorebirds. Is this why they're so easy to catch? ^^;
There are also many mudskippers (Periophthalmus modestus) at Manko.
As the tide comes in, the sandpipers return to the shore. Common Redshanks rendezvousing.
At high tide, Whimbrels also return to the shore.
A female Common Kingfisher appeared right in front of me. Beautiful.
